This week we will work on CV/VC patterns. The words will have two vowels together, but instead of working together to make one sound, these vowels will have different sounds. Remember vowels are a, e, i, o, and u. Not all of these words will end with a consonant, for an example in the word "patio" the i and o at the end of the word make two different vowel sounds but the word does not end with a consonant. The word "stadium" ends with an m which is a consonant, but the i and u make to different vowel sounds. On the top of page 316, find the word in each list of 3 that has the CV/VC pattern, remember not all words with end with a consonant, but there will be 2 vowels together that make two different vowel sounds. On the bottom, read the paragraph and find the 8 underlined words that have this pattern where the two vowels make 2 different vowel sounds. Make sure you watch your Grammar Jammer about Adjectives. Complete workbook page 320. This week we are going to work on Adjectives and Articles. Adjectives are words that describe nouns. Articles are the words "a, an, the." The word "and" is not an article or adjective, it is a conjunction. In a sentence when you see a noun, look at the words before the noun to see if they give a description. As an example - He wore a green sweater. The word sweater is a noun, the word green is an adjective because it describes the sweater. Read the top of page 320, very carefully for more information about adjectives and articles. Complete the top of page 320, by identifying the adjective for each underlined noun. Remember you are looking for a word the describes the noun in some way. An adjective is usually right before the noun it describes. On the bottom, you are going to choose the correct article to complete each sentence. Remember articles are: a, an, the. You can complete this page in your workbook and upload it to Seesaw or you can complete the template.

Spelling

Complete page 321 in your workbook. We are going to use the spelling pattern CV/VC this week. Remember vowels are a, e, i, o, u. Use the word box on the top of 321, join the beginning of the word with the correct ending to make a work from the box. On the bottom, complete each set of relationships. You make complete this page in your workbook and upload it to Seesaw or complete the template.

Religion
